The Sun Is Out….

Finally, we had an army of volunteers, we had keys to everywhere and access to all of the kit, we had a reasonable start time, the coach was fully prepared for the later start, and then, inevitably, it rained. And it rained. By the time I got stuck in a traffic jam on the A50 the ground was waterlogged. Then came the problem of letting everyone know. My phone has limited access to group emails, so I got Sally to hack into my email account and send a message on my behalf. Unfortunately not everyone reads emails as frequently as texts, so by next week I wll have group texts prepared should we have the unusual (!) situation of consecutive weeks being rained off.

Tomorrow we face Hollingworth, with one of the strongest sides that we could put out. Discarded first team batsmen, a rapid junior bowler, no cry offs, a decent weather forecast, expect an early finish!
