The Rain’s Stopped – It Must Be Summer

Despite the cold the cricket season is well under way, and its congratulations all round. 1sts and 2nds both beat Buggy, though both made quite hard work of it. Neil Woolley is starting to find his feet again in the 1sts, while in the 2nds new signings Ben Williams and Ben Bettney have already made contributions, though in Mr Bettney’s case last week’s wicket against Hollingworth is already looking like a distant memory. Youngster Ben Stones is also holding his own, whilst Harry Bold took 4 of the 6 wickets to fall at Buggy.

Congratulations to Ole Madden, Charlie Kitchen and Bruce Glover who all played for the High Peak as they beat North Derbyshire. This was High Peak’s first win for 2 seasons, and it was allegedly North Derbyshire’s first defeat in that time.

TR Wild is working on a Captain’s Blog for yesterday – it will appear here as soon as I have it.
